Interesting thread. I enjoyed the read. And as some others have said, thank you for serving.
But I agree with USMC. Being in the armed forces and going to third world countries makes you appreciate what you have at home. We’re very lucky to be living in this country, even if we are getting taxed/ticketed for every stupid little thing.

oh we are without a doubt. the only countries i have been to that werent disgusting were Japan and Portugal
my son has decided that instead of sending family and friends cards for the holidays he wants to send the soldiers cards… anyone know an address to send them to? I have like 25 cards so far that he’s made/written out…
sending out care packages to previous members of my ROTC battalion this friday 
we got alot of things from soldiersangels when were out for thanksgiving/christmas/MLKDAY/easter 06-07
I got a ton of stuff from them in OIF.

then the listing is off. some say reduced BAH, and E2, E3. because as we know, getting BAH in san diego is far easier than other areas.
