money order or check

ok so i don’t have a paypal and one guy wants to buy my BBK and he said he could send me a check or a money order but he would need my address and name. does this sound right? oh what IS a money order ( i know stupid question)

make sure its a REAL money order or bank check… cash it then ship said goods
