the 4-bangers can be made fast. But in the process of going fast they a. sound like complete ass(exhaust wise) and b. all start to resemble the ricers.
I am just an old school kind of guy though. I like torque and the sound of the 60’s v8’s. I absolutely hate the sound of the small displacement engines. Even the v6 on my sho sounded like crap and had to rev to 3500rpm before it would even think about moving. I like the fact that a big cube v8 has more torque at idle than most 4-6 bangers have at 5000rpm.
the only exception to the rule is the evo/sti’s. They are all basically stock looking(ie. not ricey) and are pretty damn fast, the only problem is that they sound horrible doing it. Maybe all of them should get a system and play a v8 sound whenever they drive the car. :D:D:D:D
