Another one taking more control away from the driver, and giving it to a computer. I wouldn’t feel right knowing that the car may stop me from making an emergency and questionable lane change.
Volvo already has sensors that go nutso if you are approaching the rear of a car too quickly, or if you start to change lanes and there is someone in your blindspot.
I don’t like the idea of having resistance AT ALL. That could definitely cause an issue when, like you said, making an emergency maneuver. I think warning beeps are good enough.
Apparently the GTR’s have a weird method for releasing the gas cap cover, since there is no latch or lever in the cockpit, you have to follow a rigorous procedure involving unlocking the door or something. I cannot confirm this, just what I heard.
I know the infiniti M45 has a lane departure warning that shakes your seat.
