Myself black FD/ Jon (conky) black S14 and Sasha Z350 and a few others, thought you guys would enjoy taking a look see… Lots of nice cars, Thanks to Joel for sharing the pics.
Honestly, the guy who was driving it knew what he was doing…I was following him around the track a bit and I was amazed at how it performed…It had almost no body role!! If thats stock suspension, then it must blow goats off road. Its setup for the track!! I think it was the fastest 4wd there, including the subarus.
In the straits its a beast…and the SRT-8 has a really nice sounding motor…I have a vids clip or two, ill post it up later, havent had anytime to edit it down.
Im not thinking you should get a jeep like that Dave, its ‘bowlah’ but it must be horrible on gas.
Even with a drop-hitch, I would imagine that can’t work out so well…
However, hauling crap in the back, and looking baller while spanking sports cars in your SUV is basically it’s only purpose in life lol… And it does it fan-fucking-tastically.
I thought so too but there are tow hitches available for the SRT-8. Rated at 3500lbs though so for powersports or a light car, not a full weight GT-R with trailer but you can push the boundaries a little no?
Either way, fuck who cares look at this thing murk the Cali Speedway infield
Oh no doubts, they’re killer, but I would think unless the hitch is a huge drop under the already low rear bumper, I would think exhaust heat would make the tongue of the trailer damn near untouchable for a good few hours after a drive on the highway…
Either way, they’re fantastic and proof that Dodge has the best performance division of the domestic giants… Whee skunkworks.
The $150 drivers training was not manditory. It was recommended.
If you did not complete the drivers training, and you go off the track, they will boot you out and not let you back. This happened to two guys in nice cars. They came to the track thinking they were pros and they ended up in the wall and they are not allowed back to Mosport because they are not interested in kids with big wallets with big egos. Mosport is not a forgiving track.
I did the drivers training my first time there. (Only been there twice now) The drivers training isnt about how to drive, or how to heel toe. You get a pro race driver to teach you the fastest was around Mosport. Corner by corner, they take notes, and they go over each lap with you ALL DAY.
Tell me thats not worth it?
Anyways seeing as how thats only for noobs, bring your GTR next time and you can show me how its done.
Hey Bing…sure its 3 times the money to go, but its definatly worth it at least once!! Give it a try. You wont be dissapointed.
J/K yeah the $150 for a day with Aaron Povoledo you got was a sick deal. BMW Driver Training with that kinda instruction is $750ish for a day.
What I meant by nOObs is people new to the track and in Alan’s email blast it says "mandatory. I didn’t want to have to do it but after I heard how valuable it is ie keeping you off the wall…its a steal.
