I’m thinking today actually, I have a mini project going on right now that’s not gonna be done till tonight.
Finally got around to installing a little snky snky project I’ve wanted to do since I bought my first bike…
It’s a Stebel Nautilus air horn. Rated for 138 decibels…it’s fucking ear splitting…but sooooooooo awesome!
First thing I did was separate the compressor from the horn assembly, I ended up JB welding a 5/8" hose adapter to the horn in order to remotely run the compressor from the tail of the bike:
Here’s the compressor with the 5/8" rubber hose I attached:
Custom aluminum stock bracket so that I could attach the horn assembly in a convenient and snky snky way:
Mounted:
And…fully installed, wires tucked and tubing routed:
(Note, in this picture you can barely notice the horn assembly itself…allows for a super loud wake up call)
And of course…the video (listen to my mom in the background…lol)
Looking good man. Beer?
I’m up for beer, when?
Sat? Sun? I might finish my cage then celebrate with a 30pk one of them days lol
I’m off of work till Monday so let’s do it! I could definitely use a beer or 12 after this past week lol.
I like to start with 2-4 and jump right into around 18. Nice smooth transition.
What time you starting to work on Saturday/Sunday? I’m in.
Prob Sunday around noonish I might get started. I am prob working on the Impala Sat all day
More new stuff…sweeeeet.
Decided to cut the exhaust finally:
Before:
Cut down:
SS Rivets from Fastenal (HOLY EXPENSIVE!)
After:
Then I decided to wrap it, because I hate shiny shit on my bikes:
Don’t have the rear header pipe/mid pipe painted yet, I’m waiting to install my 636 rear shock because I need to take the shock off anyways.

Also would like to point out that SS zip ties are super sharp. I sliced my finger pretty freaking bad yesterday, butterfly bandaid took care of that. Super gay it wouldn’t stop bleeding lol.
How gay?
Looks good dude!
Like the NYSpeed decal. I’ll reserve my judgement of the exhaust til it’s fully wrapped and painted. You definitely made quite the stubby exhaust out of it, how does it sound?
It sounds very good actually, just as throaty and V-twin-like as before, just a tad louder. I’d compare it from hearing me a block away to hearing me about 2 blocks away (not loud, just enough to know a bike is near where you are)
Finished the exhaust
Also, ordered a 07-08 ZX6R rear shock, it’s a direct swap to the SV and allows for multiple adjustments, unlike the stock SV shock that only has pre-load.
Oh, and I bought some turn signal adapters so hopefully I can get rid of these OEM signals.
I was weary of how the end result might look when you were halfway done with the wrap job, but that looks GREAT now.
I just finished a mini-project on my bike this morning lol
burnt toast. lol
you and him should switch screen names
I’ll have to see this in person to make a clear judgment call.
Good idea, lets do suspension mods, rather than get rid of that shitty rubber. :picard: I think i liked the shiny better… i’ll wait till I see it in person.
All in due time William =p I’m not riding much this week because I have surgery coming up, so it’s perfect time to get these tear down projects finished, tires take no time at all

Here’s the shock I purchased, only 4000 miles on it and it was a steal at $40 shipped. Couldn’t pass it up, even though I really wanted the ZX10r shock, I couldn’t justify the $150 people were charging, especially since the spring rate is almost the same and this raises the rear up more (1/2") which allows for better turn in cornering.
