Motorsports?

I know the majority of people involved in motorsports with a 240SX are usually into drifting, but I’m just curious as to what other forms of motorsports the 240SX owners are into.

Doesn’t even need to involve a 240SX (if you race karts or something).

Personally, I am severely torn between open-wheel and closed-wheel at the moment… each have their pros and cons. I’ve participated in a few NAVEX Rallies (TSD, navigational, watever you want to call them) but nothing on a performance level (like Tall-Pines or Targa). I think I’m pretty well rounded as far as what motorsports I’m interested in.

Just post up what form of motorsport you participate in/are interested in.

Cheers!

I expected SOLO2 to be fun. Boy was I disappointed. It only took one
session for me to not even want to bother with it anymore.

Only thing I’d consider doing for a while is SOLO1. Or just lapping days.

I can’t commit myself to getting competitive just yet with the car.

Yeah I was going to do Solo 1 this season… but I ended up getting severely side-tracked.

The fact that they might (dont know if they still are or not) be using Calabogie in Aug. was reason enough to do Solo1.

I did some “NAVEX” rallies with the ol’240sx, but now im building something for the perforamce level.

The only downside to performance rallying is that the majority of it takes out outside of Ontario, which I can’t do because of school.

I hate the fact that I have to drive out like a few hours just to race.

I wish there were more venues closer to in/around Toronto.

Would benefit the whole ‘racing’ scene a lot by keeping punks away
from street racing.

Yeah,
Cops: “TAKE IT TO THE TRACK”
Us: “LOWER GAS PRICES!!”

Lol, take it to the track? For what? To spend gas money and still get the same tickets I would get racing on the street IN the city? (not impromptu stuff at a light, that kills, I’m talking ORGANIZED, and REMOTE).

Do I have anything to fear if I have proof that the vehicle passes safety and emissions?

Hell I wouldn’t mind having those two papers with me anytime I go to a track.

Cops can’t do shit.

Cops can give you every ticket they like, but whether it stands up in court is another story. If a cop is giving you something you KNOW is bullshit, just let him… its easier to fight it in court than in person with the cop.

But yeah, my new design slogan is “SLAP IN THE FACE LEGAL” … basically the car is modified with all of the laws/regulations in mind. Cops will want to hand you tickets, and you can just laugh knowing that your car was BUILT using the MTO handbook as a modification guide.

Exactly. I wouldn’t want to drive a car around knowing it wouldn’t pass
regulations.

Kinda hypocritical that I do drive like this at the moment but I try and
keep a low key.

Well there are 3 performance races in ontario per year, and 3 rally crosses.

… figure in all the repairs to the car before each race and the cost, i think 3 is more than enough to get started doing.

raced motocross for 1/2 my life… once you learn to whip a bike around proper, driving a car aint very hard.

Really? I didn’t know there were that many Perf. Rallies in Ontario.

SHIT, I am completely forgetting about the OPRC… nevermind me!

i bought my s14 after selling my vw golf gti for the simple reason that its a rwd car with amazing handling, but no drifting here im building the car to do solo1 next year but mainly to make a it a power and great handling super car.

motorsports wise ive raced karts for a club for 2 years now and come this spring im buying my own 2 stroke shifter kart, i dont care what anyone says but there is nothing better than the feeling of a shifter kart on the track, if you can race a kart in 1 cm rain puddles in the corners of the track drifting a car becomes way to easy

I’m Into Drifting and Circut Racing but just the other
day went Drag Racing and I’m Hooked… Literally.

1st time ever going to a drag race event.

I was running a very conservative tune on 6psi.

Dyno’d in at ~240whp.

1st Run:
14.526 @ 104.58 w/ 2.705 60’

2nd Run:

3rd Run:
13.596 @ 106.6 w/ 2.260 60’

4th Run: (Final)
