Woke up to my family calling me to make sure we weren’t there. When I turned on the news and saw this went down in Aurora I wasn’t surprised. Place is super ghetto, and anytime something shitty happens (remember the gas can in the baby seat from a few weeks ago?) it always happens there. People are fucked, I don’t understand how or why you would just start taking the lives of complete strangers.
I would be pissed if someone brought there 3 month old baby to a movie theatre. Its definitely going to cry and ruin the movie

"Jessica and Brent were seated in the middle portion of the theatre when a device was thrown into the theatre that produced a “hissing” sound.
The theatre than began to fill with smoke which is when patrons began to move from their seats. At that time, shots were fired. Brent and Jessica immediately dropped to a prone position for cover. Jessica advised multiple times for someone to call 911, which Brent immediately attempted to do. Brent then heard Jessica scream and noticed that she was struck by a round in the leg. Brent, began holding pressure on the wound and attempted to calm Jessica.
It was at this time that Brent took a round to his lower extremities. While still administering first aid, Brent noticed that Jessica was no longer screaming. He advised that he looked over to Jessica and saw what appeared to be an entry wound to her head. He further stated that Jessica presented with agonal respirations.
Brent then took what may have been his only chance to escape the line of fire and exited the structure where he then contacted my mother. Brent’s actions are nothing but heroic. The veracity of any other statements not issued by myself or Peter Burns should be questioned."

A man claiming to be James Holmes created a profile on a popular sex website just days before “The Dark Knight Rises” massacre … in which he described his penis as “short/average” … and law enforcement sources tell TMZ investigators are now looking at the site to determine its authenticity.
“Holmes” created the profile on AdultFriendFinder.com July 5 – and included a picture of himself with reddish, orange hair … just as officials in Aurora, CO said he looked when he was apprehended Friday morning.
“Holmes” – who used the screen name classicjimbo – included a cryptic message on the top of the profile which reads, “Will you visit me in prison?”

The horrific shooting at the screening of The Dark Knight Rises in Colorado late last night bears eerie similarities to a scene in the 1986 comic Batman: The Dark Knight Returns. In the comic, a crazed, gun-toting loner walks into a movie theater and begins shooting it up, killing three in the process. The passage concludes with the media blaming Batman for inspiring the shooting, though he is not involved in the incident at all.
The 1986 comic, written and drawn by Frank Miller, was a key inspiration for the Chris Nolan Batman films. It helped to reimagine the character away from his Saturday morning cartoon image and into a dark, grim avenger. The point of this particular scene in the comic was to show just how far Gotham has fallen since Batman had retired.
Was the shooter imitating this scene from the comic? Maybe, although in the scene the shooter is portrayed as inspired by his disgust at pornography and heavy metal music. The police’s investigation will surely reveal more in the near future.
That particular Frank Miller comic was based in the future where Batman is an old man who has been retired for years. Completely taken WAYYY out of context.

After watching countless interviews, seeing dozens of pictures and videos…My only conclusion is that Aurora, CO is A DUMP. I haven’t seen an interview yet that the person being interviewed used sensible english and sentence structure, or clothes that actually fit. On the TODAY show this morning, you could visibly see Savannah Guthrie become frustrated because the answers coming out were jibber jabber.

In other news they are sending in a robot to detonate the explosives in his apartment because it’s too rigged up and risky for a human to disarm. WTF, is this real life? They have claimed there is enough shit in there to level the building and possibly others around it and they are going to detonate it?
So if that isn’t the news making shit up.
I would be more concerned with someone being able to purchase enough explosive material to build a bomb that could level the apartment complex and the ones around it vs some nut job buying an AR.
It’s totally a shitty area, I’ve only lived in Denver a year now and within a week or two of living here it was pretty apparent it sucks. Anytime something shitty or retarded happens, it’s a product of north Aurora.
