I am trying to get on my school website and it keeps telling me “secure connection failed, uses an invalid security certificate.” This is not the case because I have logged onto the site today with different computers. Any ideas/remedies?
try a different browser? if you have windows, you surely have IE lurking somewhere on your computer
UB?
What websites are you trying to access?
Maybe someone is ARP spoofing/Man in the middle attacking your network and giving you a fake SSL
I tried Internet Explorer and same problem.
ILC- Yes, and UBLearns/UBMail
step 1 - call cit help desk
step 2 - ask for supervisor
step 3 - curse at ILC
Are you able to get into myub.buffalo.edu
And do you see a screen that says you are going to be redirected?
It sounds like shibboleth auth is giving you the wrong security credentials
I can’t get onto MyUB either. It gives me no option other than to “add an exception” when I get the error message.
just add the damn exception, it is not a huge deal, you will be fine.
Time/date set wrong.
i like this method
You got it bacon. Figured it out after a little while. Whoops
