There is a black guy around the city of Buffalo that has a stupid clean 8. I have cruised with it on the 33, guy seems cool too, I think we both gave each other thumbs up. First one I ever saw was as a teenager drving to chicago with my family. It got on the thruway and blew past us. I saw the front end coming up, then noticed it was a bmw and was like wtf? Looked up what it was and realized this will probably be the only V12 6 speed car I will ever be able to afford.
yeah, but from what I remember there is a lot more power that can be extracted once you start modding.

i was always wondering how bad the electrical issues were with the 8 series … just for the reason that the motors have low compression … but they have monster twin batteries in the trunk
the CSi didn’t come as an automatic.
ill have to check … im pretty sure it had a csi badge on the back … although somebody could have just stuck that on
Lots of CSi and Alpina replicas out there. No CSi came in auto, in any country.

Pretty rare seeing an e31 with a six speed. I wish m70s with 6speeds were more readily available, just so I could shoehorn one in my e30.
We stuck around for about 45 minutes waiting for the CG (or any law enforcement) then bailed. I never got any kind of followup call.
I’m almost certain it was a joyride dump. Not far upstream is a lot with access to the water, perfect spot to push a car into the river that you wanted to make disappear. Just far enough upstream that it was about how far a car would float before coming to rest on the bottom.
