Keeping in mind, I literally made it to the top of that berm.

Awesome haha

The crash is the top link on the Wrecked Magazine blog right now  hahaha.

Thats pretty sweet.

I need to start coming to these.

Awesome.

Other than Mike, I think watching that pink thing (what IS that car??) go into the puddle and get a tidal wave right on him was the highlight of my day.

its a convertible 240

Just a few pics, starting to prep for next year.

Here is how fucked the radiator was for the last session I ran it after the crash:

U shaped and wavy.

Stock Steering angle:

Angle I did the final event of ClubLoose with (ok, it’s off about 4 degrees):

New steering angle:

Nice, what part gives you more steering angle? Does it add an extra turn to the wheel to reach full lock?

I’ve always been curious about this as well.

me too.

It’s all in the tie rod and knuckle, you end up with quicker steering. In my case I’ve done 3 adjustments during the season and I’m working on the final now (last photo with the wheel at 60 degrees or so). First and second adjustments added no additional turns on the wheel, third added about a 1/4 of a turn, final has added none just another 20 degrees or so of angle. For 240’s it’s really simple, for 350z’s not so much. That’s about all you’ll get out of me on that topic.

LOL at “wheel at 60 degrees or so.” The picture showing the wheel turned that far looks so odd to me. Cool stuff.

Well, I’m not going to let you reign on the angle record

that angle is straight sexy!
i’ve wanted 2 do this for years, but kinda worried how it would be on the streets driving normal,

From what I understand S13’s and S14’s with modded knuckles drive fairly normal on the street, though you can never get a perfect alignment due to setting your initial toe for angle rather than perfect tie wear.

Just 3 small (and kinda blurry, sorry!) photos for tonight. I got lots of little stuff done, but the major three things were tearing down the bodywork that is being replaced, de-vinyling the car, and removing the rear heat shield in the engine bay.

Side skirts, fenders, hood, removed. I was tempted to include “bumper” in this post, but well… hahahaha.

Before:

After:

(sorry for the blur, was holding camera above my head and didn’t realize they were blurry till I came inside for the night).

The heat shield makes it easier to service the VK once it’s installed and HOPEFULLY will allow me to run the intake backwards so I don’t have to cut a stupid hole in my hood like this:

(Forsberg’s car circa '05 or '06 IIRC)

Just more firewall work today (and worked on pulling vinyl off the other side of the car). My injured shoulder is making it tough to work under the car however.

That is the stock transmission position, obviously that won’t do, it sits WAYYY to far forward. You can see where the old firewall started along the wavy edge where I’ve been drilling and breaking spot welds out. That is just heat shielding and not the true firewall.

Working on more engine bay room. Another 2" or with the last heat shield removed. Need to trim the bridge that the body harness used to sit on and then go back and have some stitch welding done and the towers tied into the cage. I’m trying to get a little bit done each night. Goal is to test in late Feb/Early march.

glad to see your going to town on the car. keep at it.

Yikes!!! Looks like my current mess haha race ya to V8 Pwr’d nissan siqqqness
