Mike try summit for the radiator. I know when we did turbo’s stand up radiator he got one for about $160 from there and it was everything we needed.
Thanks for the suggestions on radiators guys. NYStanger I’ll measure tomorrow and let you know via PM. I forgot to while I was out there today.
Picked up my trans plate, also finished mounting up the front bodywork (I know it does not look like anything changed, but there is another 4 hours or so of bolting stuff up and working on fitment, and starting to run wiring). Going to do the aluminum undertray and tear down the trans tomorrow. Real photos and actual updates to come with real content… lol. Car goes in for paint the 15th.

 we need to do heaters
Trans plate looks very nice.
Do you need to update the cage for the series? Id think you would need something more like an IT cage…
Dan
Moxies built me a custom radiator for like 300 bucks and they were pretty quick about it.
Are you sure that won’t be more trouble than it’s worth? It’s really nice to be able to pop the hood and check things over without worrying about scratching paint, the hood flying away if it’s windy, etc.
Looks good, Mike
word. I almost did that so I didn’t have to deal w/ the lame ass front hinged hood, but decided against it for exactly those reasons
seems like mike will probably always have a pit-crew (ie. a few buddies) to help him out at events.
looking hot as usual!
It’s being completely cut out and a new setup put in. I won’t have time before April 10th (first ClubLoose event I’m HOPING to goto), but it will be done before the end of May. The current one isn’t legal for anything.
Yes, and lots of them
Basically, yeah. I pretty much always have someone with me to help me out, or I’m paddocked with someone who will help me out. I can lift it on and off myself as the hood is fairly light aluminum, of course it’s easier with 2 people. The 350z hinges did not work with the 370z bodywork and to make the 370z hinges work would have required significant fabrication. I did look into it for those reasons.
If I can get a universal (cheap) one that will work for my purposes I’d rather. I’m trying to keep this build to as many off the shelf (easily replaceable) parts as possible.
I see no reason for that… :gotme:
if history repeats itself, the bodywork is going to get beat up anyway.
brian
the car gets beat on so often he should name it Whitney Houston
:bigclap:
trans plate looks dope turk!
Continued stringing wiring today. Nearly have my engine harness finished, and started wiring up the 370z headlights into the 350z harness (not a plug and play procedure unfortunately). Put all the brakes back on and put temporary control arms in till I finish the new ones so I can put the car back on the ground tomorrow. Also built my new undertray/spliter which goes from 1" in front of the bumper to the engine cradle. Hopefully this one lasts more than the 3 events the last one made it through lol…
Big sheet of dual layer aluminum.
A failed prop from the Mario Bros live action movie.
The 370z nismo front bumper curves upward in the middle much like the 350z Nismo V3, so rather than just stretching the bumper down to the aluminum I used some extended studs with some nuts for spacers (which I eventually sprayed black) to keep the regular curve of the bumper.
