Well a red 02 mustang found me on the 90 today while in my newly aquired GTP. He honked 3 times from 40 and we both went for it. We were pretty even but he eventually pulled on me. Went again once more and the same thing happened…so unfortunatly I lost. It probably would have been different if I didn’t have five people in my car but oh well. Just thought I’d share.

I can’t imagine it either. I’d be sideways on the interstate and I’ve already been around that block…

Mine has 2 valves per cylinder and a lot of people can probably imagine losing to me.

So true. I might have to drive home to get a race in with you.

My M3 usually eats up mustangs which is unusually funny if we start talking at a red light and I tell them it is a 6 cylinder auto.

The guys in the 6 speed Hemi Challenger was very disappointing that he lost to a I6 auto from a dig to 100 mph lol.

M3’s new best 1/4 eta = 13.9 @ 102…best trap mph though has been 105 or 106 I think.

Mine kinda dies up top but I can beat the unmodified stuff and catch a sleeping F-body. (LT1’s need not apply). 40 is a shitty roll for a grand prix anyway.

last time I raced a gtp when i had only intake and exhaust it was side by side and he had pulley/tune/headers/intake/exhaust etc etc

So you must have quite a bit to say lt1s need not apply and I’ve torn into more 3.8sc motors than I have lt1s

I raced a GTP once when I had my 98 cobra with intake/3.73’s. The GTP sounded pullied and it must have been since I was barely pulling on him on the highway.

The Grand Prix doesn’t really race anymore, I don’t have headers but the 2 LT1’s I’ve come across on the street haven’t fared well, took 1 down at Lancaster.

I don’t use the Supercharged 6 for racing, I’m hoping to use my 408 stroked motor this year for that.
