That motor sucks balls if its the same motor they put in the Envoy. My mom has one and it struggles to pull my 19’ boat. You can hear it weeping under the hood anytime there is strain on it. I’ll stick to the 4.7 V8 in my 03 Durango, it has impressed me more than once. It may be smaller than most SUV’s, but it has never had a problem towing anything. Ive hauled two full size Lincoln Mark VIII’s and the 66 Chevelle with it, and it had no problem. It laughs at the boat, like i insulted it by even hooking it up. But back to the point. The Envoy, with its “great” I6, has made me vow to never own a V6 SUV.
