I then started to gather parts.This is my first boxster motor ever and it was very new to me compared to past cars iv worked on.I started to price things out.It was harder then you think to find out whats missing on a car if youve never seen under a hood of one.
I bought the car for cheap towed to my house, I realized i needed about 1200-2000 to get it running right.
I found these parts at nasioc.com and nyspeed.

I had to get misc. parts like fluids.hose lines ect ect. but you get the idea.
The downpipe was going to be my most expensive part at $400.I searched for a flange and finally found one for $40 shipped.I salvaged the DP by welding in a section.This saved a good chunk of change and i enjoy welding since im new at it.

Like this.the connector was ripped right off and was last minute to get it running.
I Finally had it running saturday.It idled great.Check engine light was on.No big deal it was expected.
I was very pleased how well it started up.
Time to take it for a test drive.I gave it some gas and sputter buck buck.Dammit. Died back to idle.There were a couple hoses not connected so i did some more research and thought i figured it out.
Nothing.Again.And again. Everytime i came back to my computer i thought i found the answer but it only led to dissapointment.
I called up Devin(FuzzyFish) today and asked for a hand.He came over today and i finally got a chance to compare motors side by side.
He noticed i had a Maf wire in the wrong spot.We thought we found it just like that.The car wouldnt even start.
We looked a little harder and noticed that the Maf was in backwards.We quiclkly put it in the right way and it fired right up.It idled a little funny but its not on a stock tune right now.
Issue solved.Took it down the road without any problems.Boosted great to 7psi since i dont have a restrictor pill in it.Runs very smooth.No codes right now.Im getting dealer plates this week and im going to get it running reliable before i DD it.
