doesnt help it hook. but with less mass then a comparable steel driveshaft, an aluminum one will A) be lighter in general and B) result in a better launch.

I’ll put it this way. If 2 RWD vehicles are identical, except one has a steel driveshaft, and the other has an aluminum one, the second car will accellerate better. the top speed may be the same, but the car with the aluminum shaft will get there first.

if Boxersix or KK wants to elaborate/prove me completely wrong, go for it. i cant explain things very well.
