LOL

Did I just pass you on rt20 in Alexander near the kaboata dealer?

Time for a new motor

Probably

Yes I made one pass 9.0 @150 Converter I believe is too loose and I was whaling the rev limiter and hurt the motor in some way. I went 5.8 @125 1/8 so I was pushing a stock motor to power levels capable of taking a 3200lbs car to 155+ and it broke. It should not see the rev limiter (7000) till 170+

Had a ton of fun and the motor/setup performed amazing all year. Also I can spare everyone the comments about 8s yes I wish it did too. But in the 5 passes the car made it didnt. I am extremely proud/happy with how this setup performed this season.

Look for a much faster version in 2015

Congrats man.

Let’s get wrenching and drinking! This time last year the nova was a roller

I agree. U proved a solid point and I would think we are all very happy and proud of what u have done.

Congrats man.

A 9.0 is insane for the mild long block in there. You accomplished a shitload in the small amount of time you had it at the track. The car is 100% streetable, goes arrow straight, looks pretty sweet and puts a lot of race cars on the trailer. Turn it up for mid 8’s (at least!) and set your sights on Norwalk next year. It will fit in several classes and be a shoe-in to win the true street class.

The car looks amazing in the glimpse I got driving by. This is by far my favorite build. Awesome job on everything.

I wish I would have gotten to see your car run. I got there late and was busy messin around with mine the whole time.
Great job with the car this year. It really is super impressive

Nice run Drew. We both narrowly missed our goal times but it was still pretty fun.

How much more you think that 6.0 would have taken?

Even more impressive - could have turned down the jam a little and easily had a solid ten car but instead you aimed for fucking eights. All that is man.

Thanks everyone I am VERY happy with where we got the car this season. 9.0 on the 5th pass it ever made is a huge accomplishment. This is the most fun I have had with any build to date and I drove this car the most too. Put around 3-4k miles atleast on it with minimal issues after the first week of debug.

It will be out for the 8.x it deserves in 2015.

I am probably going to pull the motor here in a little bit and see how things are looking inside. PS we never verified year so we dont know if I was doing this on the upgraded rods or not. I assume so but we will see.

That’s a solid time, hot damn

Nothing to be dissatisfied with. 9.0 would break the hearts of most “race” cars

Might go start seeing how she is feeling in a bit here. I cant believe how smooth the chassis is. Just watched a vid very low drama ride for a 9.0 car. PS still a real weak launch hahah no T-Brake used yet
