My 1965 Nova II- 8.85@153.5 - Turbo kit FS

Neither

At some point cylinder pressure bent the rods. I believe it happened at the end of the pass but could be wrong.

hahaha I like your style!

You just wanted to use my picker…I get it.

Yeah, I’m not taking away anything from how impressive the car is with the motor setup being stock. Just wasn’t sure if he has logs that show anything.

There was no knock. Cyl pressure bent the rods. I am 100% positive

Wow, I never saw a side by side comparison. The Gen IV rods are much nicer.

Yea Gen III is supposed to be good for 600-650hp depending on the weight of car obviously some people have gone higher.

They say Gen IV is closer to 900-1000hp

Can’t wait to see what comes next! I hope to one day swap an LS into something cool. Althought currently I plan to fix the body/paint my current car and then swap in the Series II 3800 4L60E into it with a turbo, so lets hope my pipe dream comes true lol

pshhhh throw another stock rod in it and try to really kill it! good times Friday

how did the cylinder wall look? scuffed at all?

2JZ swap.

Absolutely 0 marks from my extremely untrained eye

They look great! I could get another set of rods for $50 and considered doing just that but its just not worth the time. Honestly if I didnt have to send the converter out id think about it and trying to still go 8s this year haha but not enough time.

Atleast you looked. I just dragged a finger through them, called it good, then drank a bunch.

This.

No

That bend on the rod is impressive. Looks like you’ll be back up in no time!

I will try harder next time for sure! I hope to be running sooner rather than later but probably not quick enough to beat the snow.

Mid-engine conversion

AWD?

FWD
