My 1965 Nova II- 8.85@153.5 - Turbo kit FS

Looks great Drew  Love me some LS w/ turbo noises

Big thanks to JnJ for coming up with the 6 M11 bolts that I needed!

Shawn and I were able to then get the trans, flexplate, converter all bolted up and installed in the car.
I grabbed a new Miller Diversion 180 tig welder last week as well. Hoping to build the rear tomorrow(axles, disc brakes, etc) then maybe later in the week start fabbing a turbo kit!

I had to switch from a truck oil pan to an F-body one. Always inspect the pan you buy if it is used…mine had tone of bearing material in the windage tray. Thankfully I looked.

Then this happened!

Sweet…

Fucking sweet indeed! Everything looks just…RIGHT!

Imma come over and watch.

I got a hard on right now …

Thanks guys. It felt great to get it all set in there last night.

nice work

I wish I could pull my front end apart like you.

:expressionless:

It is pretty sweet to be able to. Not that I want to pull it a bunch of times but it will make motor/trans swaps a breeze.

keep it up dbag. Sorry I couldn’t help with the bolts.

Yessssssssss

he let your shitbag dog in that nice house?

 looks good boys

My “shitbag” dog is sweet thank you very much! -_-

One side of the hot side was done. It’s crazy how time consuming fab work is. Make sure you’re charging enough if you’re good at it.

was he making manifolds or flipping truck manifolds?

Used truck manifolds with v-band flanges welded on the ends.

Definitely fun times cutting the shit out of a perfectly fine radiator support, and my fingers.

do I spy a spare LS1 next to the nova? lol.

What was the material of the v-band and the crossover pipes? How well did they weld to the cast iron manifolds? did you need to prep the iron beforehand, other than grinding it down and cleaning it up?
