V-bands were stainless. They welded fine to the cast. I used a 309 rod.(tig) I did preheat them and for prep just a good cleaning and flap wheel through the rust.
Motor on the stand is a stroked 408 with cnc ported ls3 heads and ls3 intake mani. It is 11.5 compression. Not sure why I have it lol
408 with 11:5 on E-85 with 20lbs would rock!

I had a pretty nice BW based turbo on the rx7 which had a race cover and garrett 88mm wheel. This is an off the shelf T6 S480. Once i sort out the combo and build a motor maybe I will upgrade. Looking for around 650-700rwhp through a glide+9" on the stock motor. Till something lets go.
I wonder how different these BW turbos really are. I got the “Air Werks” “S88” turbo which was a BW reworked by forced inductions with a different turbine before the lesser expensive BW shelf turbos became popular. I’ve been out of touch with the latest in turbos, but they all seem to have comparable results. I’m not even sure those Air Werks turbos are still made…
I ran that same turbo on the rx7 I believe. I think they were calling it the “HP88” unless it was different.
Ill do some dyno testing probably to around 20psi on this one so we will find out!

prob wont make a ton of power on stock heads,intake,tb,motor but who knows. 700+ on a glide would be sweet as hell I think.
Why not? I have stock heads/intake/tb and a small cam and it does alright. I think you will hit your goal. Or you could go bigger and unload that turbo to someone else…
Does someone need the turbo locally? 
I think it will do what I am looking for.

I know it’s tough to stop and take pics when you get in the zone, but you need to snap some more pics of your progress. This thing is just absolutely flying together. If you’re lucky it’ll be done just in time to do donuts in the snow
