My 1978 Monte Carlo build...

I see, I never heard of that big of a jet. Well I never seen a carb like that one either lol

Well the worse has happened. Lost it 3/4 the way down the track after doing a 6.2@109 1/8th mile…car pulled to the left and got out of the groove…tried to ease my way back into the groove without lifting…head on into the opposing lane’s wall…That was gunna be my 9 second pass…oh well. Part out. Anybody want anything?

Wow sorry to see that man :frowning:

Awe man, sry to hear!

That sucks swap that motor setup into a fox body roller or something

Or another cheap g body…

UGH…i dont know you at all and yet I feel so sad for you.

Hopefully you learned a lesson though…better to shut down and run a 9 sec pass next time out rather than push and risk your life and the car.

Damn it man. Deff swap it all into another car, don’t quit.

That blows. I really liked following this build. On to bigger and better. Glad you walked away ok.

Suck to hear about this man! How does the motor look? Engine blocks don’t like to take big hits. A 6.20 at 109 was well on its way to a 9. Probably around a 9.80 at 136 or so.

That 442 is a good deal, and you know it has the 8.5inch ring gear 10 bolt… Which is easily sold for like a grand.

Man that sucks! But good to see your ok. Could always replace a car…

Yeah that 442 is a pretty solid deal. sell the engine and trans for $750, probably has a nice interior.

And then sell the rearend for 1k and install your old one out of the monte!
