My 1994 3000gt SL

you plan on lowering it?

I would like to, but I’m not sure if its worth getting rid of the ECS. Any input on that?

ECS?
dont know what that is. probably will remember as soon as you reply though LOL

Electronically controlled suspension lol, basically I hit a button and the suspension reacts. 2 modes, touring and sport. sport is for a stiffer better handling ride and touring is for cruising. If I lower the car I probably wouldnt have that feature anymore

i dont see why i’d be lost, but im sure it’d be less effective then at stock height.
or, instead of lowering it, you could go up a size in wheels/tires. make it APPEAR lowered.

Before I continue with this thread I’d like to give a special thanks to my dad for helping me out with all this stuff. Without his help i’d be screwed. He’s been teaching me alot of things, ecspecially since I dont have much exp with this kind of stuff (I’m only 18). Without him I wouldnt even be a tenth as far as I already am. So thank you dad.

Hm i’d have to look into it more! I won’t be getting new tires, just got 4 brand new good years :stuck_out_tongue: But yeah we’ll see what happens

That spoiler looks better than I thought it would have

Thanks! I have to take it back off when I get it painted, i still have to weld metal over the holes from the previous spoiler (think body shop is gonna do that) but I wanted to at least mount it and see what it looked like! I think it looks sharp as well

Just updating, put it on the road yesterday cus the winter here in NY has been great so far! no snow, no salt so i put it on and took it for a ride for a while. it runs AWESOME, shifts smoothly and it has plenty of power. overall VERRRRRRY happy with it. Heres a picture, i brought it to the carwash to wash it, it did get very dusty from sitting in my garage for a while :stuck_out_tongue:

And now there’s a shit ton of snow on the ground, kind of ironic happens the day after i put it on the road, so it won’t be back on for a while, at least until the salt on the road is gone.

itll be gone as soon as it rains again

Yeaaaah. I took it out last night but I brought it to the car wash. Deluxe package lol. So it got the under carriage. I noticed my oil light is flashing at idle, it idles around 800 or 900 rpm and when it does the oil light comes on. But as San as I rev it up or start rolling or get those rpms up again it shuts off. No idea what to think. Any advice guys?

it could be the sensor or the light is just fucked up, and at idle the car is vibrating enough to make it come on.

ur low on oil and u have poor pressure

Wrong and wrong.

bad sensor?

I didnt mean you were wrong, I was talking about Daknut, and yeah that could be it. I’m going to have to look farther into it. No strange noises or knocking so I think its fine. It runs good

I have some extra interior/exterior parts if you’re interested.

Black leather seats? Steering wheel? Stock radio?
