Well then a good option would be a darton dry sleeved LS2 block. You will still be cheaper off in the long run vs. the RHS block. Also you are going to need much bigger than a D1SC or F1A to get you to 1000+ rwhp
Now it all becomes bigger motor = bigger blower. That is the reason you wouldn’t want to put a 4.000" stroke in the block you have. The blower will make more boost with a smaller engine therefore more HP
From experience the F1A will not get anywhere close to 1200 flywheel or rwhp on a 370+ cu.in engine. Maybe if you built a “COPO” like engine 327 cu.in (4.065" bore x 3.15") you might get close to those numbers. With the right combination you can make out a D1SC and make around 700 rwhp
Well small update, Got in my Lingenfelter GT9 Cam, DOD Delete kit, and Lunati Dual Gold Valve Springs, and ARP Studs. Still gotta grab a few things ( Yella Terra Shaft Mounted 1.7 Ratio Roller Rockers, CTS-VR Lifters, LS9 Head Gaskets, and Manley Chromoly Hardened Pushrods) then I can start the tear down and get these goodies in, hoping to break 450 with it but we’ll see

Also the D1SC has been scrapped and per the owner of the company I’m ordering from will be getting a killer deal on an F1D. Should be fun once everything falls into place.
A blower combo with that camshaft will max tons of power down low and peak around 6400 rpms. You don’t need the CTS-V racing lifters and the yella terras are heavier than stock. Do the trunion upgrade kit and save yourself $450. The F1D is kind of a weird in between blower. A bit better than a D1SC but not quite badass like an F1A or F1C. My suggestion is get an F1A at least if you want big power
Okay, no trying to be rude or anything what so ever, but you’ve got me all sorts of confused…with multiple questions…first being, when it was dyno at 412rwhp…were you there to see it? Who did you buy the car from, and did they not tell you if he had installed a cam? Its def not cammed or running 412rwhp if you’re only getting a 13.3. Were you being sarcastic and when you said “it may have a DOD cam” you really meant, it does have a DOD cam lol I just wanna get to the bottom of this, i couldnt imagine my G8 have 412 rwhp the way its setup, which is veryyy similar to yours. Are you on g8board.com?
It does have a small aftermarket cam, my 13.3 was well before any serious work was done to the car, at the time of the run I had a Volant PC CAI, SC Tune, and a cat back, the run was at Cicero. I have not ran the car down the 1320 since the rest of my stuff got installed and Dyno tuned. Yes I was at VMS when it was dyno’d, yes I saw the screen. I’m not trying to be rude or mean either but you could have answered your own question by reading the second quote of mine in your post.
J&J, won’t the Dual Gold valve springs be too stiff for the LS3 lifters that came in my DOD kit? Also I had no idea the YT RR’s wouldn’t have netted any gains, then again I don’t recall anyone really using them either

Also rmcdonll318, if your car is stock like it says in your profile you do not have 365hp, 08 GT’s came stock with 361hp, 09’s were dropped to 355hp due to the nice extra 2 little cats called “pup cats”. Just a little tid bit of info
Be careful the DOD lifters are not good under higher pressure, high lift and higher RPMS. I’m assuming you haven’t pulled the heads and swaped in ls7 or caddy lifters. This was the only thing that worried me about the L76 in my GMC. Especially if you’ve done a cam swap i’m sure you’d like to spin it up a little.
The main purpose for the swap is I don’t trust the DOD crap anymore, I already have a LPE GT9 Cam, LPE DOD Delete Kit, and Lunati Dual Gold Valve Spring Kit waiting to go in, tomorrow I am going to the shop to get a labor estimate and schedule the work since I’m not going to have time to do it myself with my new work schedule
