My 84 Jeep CJ7 forever project.

close to free.

as he said pretty damn close. Ask him the condition of the frame and axles. That alone was worth more than he paid.

Cool project, my dad has a CJ7 he messes with when he’s bored. His tub is even worst. Once you get yours blasted and patched are you going to line it with anything to prevent further corrosion?

Yeah i was going to herculine it.

Yes the frame is solid some surface rust here and there but nothing flaking.

Toof the front cover and rear cover off everything is good and in spec.

I give props to anyone that will turn a wreck like that into a something cool, good luck, and make sure your Tetanus shots are up to date!

Lol funny you said that, last year i had a nail go thru my foot and had to go to the hospital and get one.

So i am god for 3 more months.

here’s a pic from 01’ I believe. what it used to roll like. There was nowhere to do a lame flex shot except that stupid 2’ rock. lol

I remember when mine looked like that. You should seriously look into a different tub, either fiberglass or a new steel one. By the time you fix that one you’ll have more money into it than what a new one costs, plus a LOT of time. Also, either upgrade or ditch the AMC20. You’ll thank yourself later. I have a Chevy 283/Muncie SM465/Dana 18/Warn Overdrive/Dana 44 PowrLock combo in my Jeep. Works slick. I have a 27 front with 4.88’s in axles. It sits on “military” springs with a shackle reversal and taller mounts for the lift with BFG M/T 33x10.50’s.
Jeeps are fun. Every part on it is a “bolt-on” accessory lol.

PM me if you have any questions or need advice. Good luck with the project.

Who is the dork driving.lol.

Looks amazing.

any updates?

nice corey.

I have been busy working that it has been put to the side. Plus been getting the bronco cleaned up and all the bugs out of her.

Hopefully if its nice these next couple of days i can finally lift the body off the frame and finishe tearing apart the suspension.

Have you ever dealt with a place called United 4 Wheel Drive over on Main street in Clarence? Guy who owns it is named Randy, aka “Racin Randy” The guy he has working for him basicly knows more about Jeeps & 4 wheelin than anyone I’ve ever met. You need parts (new or used) or advice, this is the guy to see.

yeah i have dealt with them a few times. Are you talking about matt? He is a realy good guy.

It has to be Matt… who else could it be? lol

I think Juicy and i Have a brand new top, doors, hardware, etc for it if interested

Right now im in the need for fenders. Doors im am thinking about making out of some tube steel. Doors are over rated in a jeep.lol.

Well after trying to figure out what i wanted to do with the rear of the body, here is what i came up with. I still have to cut out the back of the jeep, as well as straighten the cuts but overall i dig it.lol.

The only thing that sucked, I had the body just resting on the mounts and it would move, thank god for learning how to weld, i was able to tack a couple of braces to keed the body in place.

Yes, Matt. That guy has a computer for a brain when it comes to what parts fit what year in,just about anything. Good guy, takes time to help without the attitude you get from a lot of the other 4x4 guys.
