nice bar man i had built one a few years ago when i was with my ex. i wish i had pictures i had a mini sink in it and everything but i couldnt take it with me when i left the bitch lol oh well ill build another one. i know i just resurected this thred LOL… i was actually looking for a thred (and i did search) about liquor and drinking… just thought it would be interesting to know what everyones favorite drink is… be it a pale ale, thick irish stout, or somthing with a little barly or grain in it… im a scotch guy myself short glass of single malt neat. somtimes ill giver a splash of water it depends on if im smokeing a cigar or not. i normaly have a glass a night… the type of scotch i drink varies… on my birthday i have one glass of Ardbeg 1975 and anyone who knows 1975 knows its not cheap…thats why i have 4 glasses a year newyears eve, birthday, wedding aniversery and christmas eve. otherwise i sip on lagavulin 1984 not bad for cheap stuff… although i do have a bottle of jonnie walker red… its a blend of scotch and burbon. not very fond of it… not because i dont like burbon but because scotch is best by itself as a single malt. Anyway im rambling… and sorry in advance if there is a drinking thred already i didnt find it… and feel free to move this post lol.
thank you sir. I actually need to get updated pics of it. Since the pics were taken, in january, I’ve built a cabinet thing behind the bar to hold all the liquor and glasses. Makes it look way better than some cheap table from target.
I used to drink beer and liquor about equally. But having beer on tap changes all that. I’ve had all those liquor bottles for a long time. I don’t drink them, ever. I’m def a beer guy now and I better be since I do homebrew. Favorite beer depends on the weather. The colder it is out, the darker the beer.
I’m pretty sure there is a drinking thread, but I’m an also too lazy to find it… move my post too if need be
how did i miss this thread? wtf . I love matts bar, everything about it is awsome, the carbon fiber drip tray thats under the tripple tap just sends it over the top tho. 45 degree 6 inch pine would be siick on the walls. my cieling cost about 75 cents a linear ft
If the basement wasn’t already drywalled then I’d do something like that
so just do a pine 45/ accent wall… siick
home brew… hmm ive been actually looking into that… any recomendations on what kit to buy? theres so much stuff on the net its hard to choose between them all. im a stout fan even in the summer although i have to admit a light ale is deffinatly a thurst quencher on a hot summer day.

I go there. It’s right in latham on rt. 9. Guys there are incredibly helpful. All kits are the same $60-$70 (I think). Eventually you will want to get a 5 gallon glass container (“carboy”) and other little things. You could have every little gadget you’d ever want for probably right around $100.
Honestly, I would never do homebrew if I didn’t have the keg system. Without it, you’d have to fill around 50 12oz glass bottle individually and then let them sit for 2+ weeks to carbonate and then drink. With the keg system, I put the brew in a 5 gallon soda keg, push the PSI to 35lbs, let it sit for a day, and it’s all ready to drink the next night. I don’t have the patience to do that bottle crap.
