Fucking 235 lb/hr injectors for his neon. That I do believe is the largest injector I have seen :headbang: God I can’t wait to see his car out this summer. I sold him a Flaming River cutout switch mounted in a custom tail light for the car, so does that mean I can say I helped build his car?!? Hah. Check it out:

The old setup:

The new hotness:

neon builds are cool untill you drive them

Very cool. I remember Jake talking about Moran doing some huge injectors for his turbo car. I think he might have some 320lb/hr ones out there…

that is alot of bottle.

dam.

Yay for spending way to much on a POS neon!

Lighting money on fire would probably be money better spent

what are the specs on that turbo, maybe its just the picture but it doesnt look that big, also what are the power expectations and times? thinkin 9’s?

omg! what a grown up thing to say :bigclap:

you can try yellin it to him when youre starin at his rear bumper :mamoru:

How so 95% of the people who mod cheap FWD street cars realize the limitations of FWD and move onto a better platform…and never get back half the money they tossed at it.

I think these high hp fwd builds are cool for roll racing…but most people move on and are focused on track results and FWD doesn’t usually yield a good return at the track.

did ya ever think some people dont care about getting the money back that they do it cause they like it

edit: all FWD cars are cheap =p
edit x2: 9’s is 9’s if ya got one 1 wheel or 4

It’s an actual race car, he competes some SFWD class or something, I don’t know the specifics off the top of my head. He used to at least partially own Chillfactory, and now he is just an engineer.

The car is pretty mean, it went 9’s like 4 years ago, and has been being built up ever since. He’s a really cool guy that helps out everyone who deserves help on the neons.org website :naughty:

edit: This car never did go 9’s, I just read the fastest list on neons.org. His black car went 9.22 @ 156. This car, Grover, only went 10.24 @ 152. That is why he started from the ground up and focused on the suspension and traction on this car, similar to the black car. I am pretty sure he is hoping for 160’s this year.

if its already gone 9’s is he tryin to get 8’s?

See above edit. I think he is just trying to do what he did in the black car, maybe better.

thats pretty cool.

i have to resist building my wifes neon when she gets a new(er) car.

Brian

So its just a full drag car? I cant imagine driving that on the street, just useless power.

I believe he does not drive it on the street, although I am not certain. He probably could, since he is in IL, but it would be dumb.

In which case

All that money and its still wrong wheel drive http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd201/bikeboy587/fwdsucksfd3.jpg

It was street-driven a few years ago when it was in the low 11s. Not sure he will drive it anymore on the street.

el oh el
