My Build Thread LS1/FD Its Fast!

twin babies? twin turbos? :wtf:

Twin cams

Twin ice cream makers. MMMMMMMMMMM

ugh this will be the fucking coolest car ever

But for real those cut out spots are factory but I have the inner fender wells to cover them. I might just make something though.

Do it!

Bye bye faggy long tubes. Hello forward facing headers with snails!

Is there even room for a single or TT build as far as downpipe placement and header room?

Also, whats estimated curb weight after its all said and done?

Do not put these ideas in my head! Trust me for what the longtubes+cam cost I was really thinking of going turbo. I have always just been an NA+bottle kind of guy :frowning:

Maybe next year.

Yeah a bunch of guys are doing single and TT builds on these. To be honest using truck manifolds flipped and home done fab work I bet it could be done at a very decent price. I just did not feel like going through the hassle.

Weight is kind of unknown, I tried to cut weight anywhere I could but doubt I really did much so I am guessing around 2700lbs

Edit- Today Pat, Jay and myself slaved on this thing all day and it just seemed like we couldn’t get anything done. :frowning:

Oil pressure gauge hooked up
Rear calipers painted and new pads installed
Door handles, headlight covers, and various weatherstripping pieces installed.

LONG way to go

Looking real proper. Is there any way to do any kind of wire tuck on something like this?

There is a ton of relays and wiring in the front that has been relocated and we are cleaning up what we can. I am sure with enough free time on our hands it could be done but I am just not that motivated right now lol.

End result should be pretty nice though. But I am also trying to make this thing ready to go by April sometime.

Nice garage! you checked if the hood clears the TB yet, that think looks siqqq. Get the cam in that thing.

Hood def clears, we had it on when it came back from paint

I will put the cam in once you give it back!!!

fo real. at least that would give us the feeling that we did something.

Yeah this project has been two steps forward one step back the entire time. It is all the “small projects” that are KILLING me. Hell if I didn’t decide to change the interior and found that mess and go with a different exhaust the damn thing would be done. :frowning:

it’ll get there don’t worry. there’s enough people around to help which is always a bonus.

Good, I wasn’t sure how much I had to grind it.

Yeah thanks man ported TB looks great!

until we can get together heres a peek of the ls2 in the FD
just got a new radiator setup and will be working on that soon hopefully.
by the way i meant 3" at the end of the jtr headers…typo
i’m rough estimating 450 wheel but can’t say till i get it to the dyno.
crossing my fingers for the both of us that the rear end holds together!
talk to ya soon
