haha no the lady was really nice. This is bitter sweet. Obv bitter cause I got a lil ding on my baby but sweet because it totally needed the hood and bumper resprayed anyhow. The paint on these gets rock chipped really bad. Anyhow what happened is we were turning left and some pedestrian who didnt make the light ran across anyhow so the lady in front of me slammed on her brakes ans i did too but a lil too late. Her car is basically ok and mine needs a headlight hood and fender. WHAMMY! Pics later

Best worst thing that happened to me in awhile haha. My gf is so confused why I am not in the least upset. The paint on my bumper/hood needed a respray to make my car near mint. While it goes in for work I am going to have one small door ding pulled as well. Looks like I will have to come out of pocket on the bumper though since it didn’t really get much damage. Can anyone thing of any upgrades while im at it?
I was thinking of switching to this style lip over my carbon splitters. Any thoughts?
how do you plan to shave the weight of the roll bar out of the car before adding the roll bar?
I only ask because adding 100#'s is deffinatly going to take you out of the 10.95 bracket.

I am confident my car has much more in it with a final tune. I am not worried about the 100lbs at all really, its a bummer but I do like the added safety to be honest. I am also going to test out two different types of intakes and a fast 92 intake manifold probably. All in all I expect between the intake testing and final dyno tune around 30rwhp. But you should also know once I add a rollbar I will not be making many NA passes anymore I will start my new quest…for 9s

Shit im not going to be anywhere near that fast. We should find out soon though. I am probably not going to be doing it till winter though. Id like a final tune and such soon to see if there is any more power then hopefully I can hit the track for a relaxed rental day.
I liked the M5 as is. I would just re-spray. Maybe clear corners but IDK.
That car is near PERFECT as is.
I am getting the same headlights but with clear corners. Everything else is staying the same at this moment. I am going to pay extra to have a few small things addressed though. Two small door dings and id like the rear bumper painted as well.

Yeah they are the OEM headlights from the euro M5s. Same stuff just a clear corner. I upgraded the angel eyes too cause im a ricer.
It’s a shame it is out of pocket and you’re dropping coin on a hood and fender, but at least it’s a step in the right direction.
When I was younger I had a truck in front of me that stopped dead around a turn becuase he dropped his donut :rolleyes:. My civic’s stock grill got annihilated by the tow hitch. Totally bought an SI grill. Ricer upgrade!
It isn’t all out of pocket. I used my insurance to cover what got smashed up in the accident so the hood, fender and headlights are covered. Out of pocket is all of the other small things I am deciding to do since I think it is a fine opportunity to return my already very nice M5 back to a near mint M5. So I am having both bumpers repainted and two small door dings fixed out of pocket. Thus making it so it is near perfect paint once again.
