My Build Thread LS1/FD Its Fast!

Awesome

did you lizard skin this thing yet?

The interior?

I ended up buying about 23784682374628374682sqft of alum backed heat shield and dynaliner. I have taken pics yet but I have started on the cage and have it all roughly in place with no final welds yet. Once that it done I am going to unleash the fury against potential heat and sound issues. Should be sweet.

Didn’t you just take all sorts of sound deadening out?!

Next week is harness…!

Like over a year ago when I removed the shitty and heavy stock stuff? Now I am replacing it with a much more effective dynaliner that is super lightweight. Has been discussed.

I <3 you Drewseph.

Dynalinner? LOVE that stuff!

Yes. I think I bought 60sqft of it. and like 24sqft of the alum backed heat stuff. I already have 24sqft in the car. LOL

Missed that. Fantastic.

 Yeah I cant really expect people to remember this build front to back. Shit I was going through it earlier today and feels like some of it was so long ago.

LMK how it works.

Bah, just don’t put yourself through the hassle of taking it out again. If I remember correctly the previous owner of the car has put in some ridiculously thick, sticky shit? Hellllloooooo dry ice.

Dynaliner installs and uninstalls really easily. Anyhow goals were different with the car then and I honestly do not care about weight anymore. The stuff in there was covering all of the drainage holes and making the car hold moisture and shit. Was a good 75lbs total. I am adding back around 10/15 lbs or wayyyyyyy more effective products. The stuff in there was literally the roofing paper shit. WTF!

You don’t have any reason to care about weight anymore…add 20lbs of sound deadening turn the boost up

Hhaha that is about my logic.

For sure. With the cage and sound/heat material do you have a target weight?

…or did I miss that too?

Might have been discussed.

It will probably be around 3k lbs.

Fun stuff. Slow day at work, catching up on random unimportant stuff.

Dynalinner weighs next to nothing… I got a ~60sq foot roll and the box weighs more than the stuff almost… thought it was empty.
