My central AC took a dump so I found a way to stay cool

YES +3

jeeeez. I just did 20ish miles of moderate hills and I thought I was going to die. I also don’t run and haven’t been on a bike in like 5 years…

You have to work up to it. My first century was more of a baptism by fire as it featured 12,000 feet of climbing, touted as one of the hardest centuries in the country.

The route was so enjoyable that this morning at 7am we left Eden to do it again. This time though we only went to Ellicottville, not Salamanca which netted us 81.25 miles. I rode with my buddy Steve and his buddy Charlie, both of whom are Ironman finishers-fun fun. Trying to chase them down was quite the event. Imagine trying to keep up with 2 drugged up race horses now instead of just 1. I had many stretches where I was alone with my thoughts to say the least.

ill stick with bicycles with motors… props to ironman finishers… i could never do it.

I jus got back from some big ring riding to hopeflly get faster for sprint tri’s… i was able to keep 24+ mph over 16 miles of flat… but my legs are goo right now…

It’s amazing how the terrain will influence your average speed. The first 58 miles of the Ride for Roswell I averaged 23. This route I was lucky to average 17. Keep riding, it helps.
