My custom twin turbo G8 GT build

They also have turbos that are oil and coolant circulated to help keep the heat down.

Tread ad should read “cutiest twins on a g8”

Looks amazing and love G8’s and have been contemplating grabbing one for a daily. Will be following this build for sure.

I’ve been thinking about what to dd next forever and looking at this thread makes me want to buy a G8 and send it your way. You’ll definitely surprise some people with this, especially if you keep it on the quiet side.

looks super clean and well done. Top notch.

thanks guys, finishing up exhaust tomorrow and then taking it all apart for some final fitting and checks. Hopefully have her up and running/driving within a few weeks. I need to get back to work on other people cars. running low on funds and I really wanna do a nice “end all” fuel pump setup so i can comfortably run e85.

got some welding coming your way in the next few weeks son

I have parts that need some attention. Mainly the rear sub frame

you got it brotha

she finally tearing out on ya?

I don’t think so, but need some attention b4 it does. Welded diff and hopping for 300whp I’m sure it will without some reinforcement and new bushings.

And I’ll need the wheeler tuned when you get some free time to play

what are you thinking about the end all e85 fuel system?

Dual 450s
Rails
~100 lb injectors

What brand injectors do you like on LS motors?

sounds good!

im thinking stock pump feeding custom fabd surge tank with dual 044s and 80lb injectors after I max out the 60s on e85. orrrrr, I could just slap a kenne bell boosta pump on the stocker for about 550whp, but that doesn’t seam very fun. lol

and contemplating leaving this wide open for a more aggressive look.

Awesome build, considered a G8 for dd, grill open is bad ass!

Good stuff this will be a fun cruiser for the summer

 Nice work.

Sorry for the ignorance, but if it’s tuned for e85 could it run on regular gas if that’s all that is available?

An old friend of mine has a G8 and he did some internal upgrades last summer. He was very interested in the pics of yours that I texted him. Can non-members view this thread? Please let me know. Thanks.

Normally no, it is very bad to do that. If it is an actual flex-fuel vehicle or has an ethanol sensor you can make the computer compensate depending upon what fuel it sees (E0-E100). There are also tricks like running a switched resistor in the iat signal line then in the computer decrease the overall spark advance considerably for higher IAT’s. Then in closed loop you COULD limp the car home or to an ethanol station, but you’ll be running rich as hell and it won’t be happy at all.

On a personal note I’ve been running E-85 in my daily for over a year now, driving to my parents house in Albany every once in a while and lots of long distance drives to pick up parts and never had issues with not finding ethanol and running out.

Looks great!
Are you using HPtuners for tuning?
Before you went this route did you consider just bolting on the LSA parts?
Are you leaving DOD or installing the delete kit?
I ask because I am considering options this summer for my own g8 gt, thanks.
