My engine is ready

The cars only going to rev as much as it can flow. You think that stock valve sizes can flow enough CFM to support a 10grand rev? lol

did i say anything about flow? no. i said we’re testing for valve clearance with it at 10k as no one has run fp3x cams to 10k, the race head has 2mm oversized and the machine shop is currently still making the intake vavle seats for us since no one anywhere makes aftermarket ones.

i’m not gonna whore toms thread up anymore go back to being a mechanic

Thats the dumbest thing I have ever read… EVER!! Are you trying to tell me that at 10k RPM The valves are going to move more then they do at 7grand? “testing for valve clearance”?? wow now I have seen it all… Toms car really runs. I dont think you should whore up his tread eather…

qite whoring up toms thread

Bunch of whores haha

they do if the springs are weak. it’s called valve float

also, comp cams has some launcher cams which are used in lift resticted classes. it launches off the face for an additional .030 lift.

what’s up Tom. Good luck with the motor and I’m getting ready to tear up some shit pretty soon.

adding this as some comp info as the cams i have are from comp/fp:

yeah the ramp angles on my cams make them almost square and even with the UBER springs i’m running FP cannot confirm they won’t float at 10k, so why would anyone want to risk their good race parts on something that may float. I’m not sure where u got the idea that i said anything about flowing more air at 10k or even making power on that head at 10k…i just said it was going to 10k. people really need to stop putting words in peoples posts.

Pushrod Power man congrats on a REAL motor. :burnout:

a guy posts an awesome motor setup and you fagort ricers are whoring it up with some talk of a cheesy little 4-banger. damn ricers

good luck on the motor Tom, sounds like it’s going to be a fun year for you.

That cant be a real motor i thought the only real motor ever built were put in the almighty shitbox R aint that right boostdITR :jerkit:

thanks!

Thanks man  The engine builder says it will run 9.60’s to 9.70’s and 9.50’s in good weather.

After reviewing the dyno numbers the Coan converter people think the car will run 9.40’s.

These et’s were all calculated at 3,200 race weight. I may be a little heavier than 3,200 but I’ll be happy if it just runs good all year :steelers:
