Welp, it has finally happened.

I was merging onto a 2 lane road and there was a Saturn in front of me. The Saturn went, as she pulled onto the road a car changed lanes from the left into her lane, so she had to hit the brakes and back out of the merge at the last minute. Unfortunatly, I thought she had gone and was looking over my shoulder (I was clear to go) and started to pull out. Then… I hit her.

Dunno how much damage to my car yet. She didnt care about her car. She said she wrecked it on Sunday and wasn’t going to make a claim unless she was hurt tomorrow morning. She was very nice and understanding… 'bout my age. It was mostly a passenger side impact for my car…

She was physically alright. I hit my knees on the dash and my head is starting to hurt a little. I was shook up… but I’m fine now.

My car appears to have problems with the fender or bumper… on or the other isn’t lined up with the other. The hood isn’t closing correctly… No visible dents, or obnoxious scratches… but we will clean her up and see. Emblem is gone, grill is cracked in a couple places. clips for the headlights are cracked or broken… on both.

I don’t want to do that again. We weren’t going fast- and thank goodness nobody was hurt.

I did almost the same thing last november, guy stopped on an on ramp, and I kept going

only thing different was that it was clear :ugh2:

wow, I know how bad this situation sucks. The same thing happened to me but I barely tapped a dump truck. It had pulled well into the lane and was moving good and I stopped, looked to see if a car was coming, and pulled out… right into the hitch of the dump truck. The dude never even noticed but the 2 inches too far that I went caused about $700 in damage. Ask Pewter, he got the hood that was dinged up from it. Glad no one was hurt though and she was understanding… can’t ask for much more than that out of an accident.

I was sort of in an accident yesterday too… Nobody got hurt and there was no damage to any vehicles… but it just must have been the day for it.

Glad your ok Jenn. A car can be replaced but you can’t be.

Yea… I’m feeling a little sore now… in the neck and upper back area. Thatsnot an issue though, I expected it. When I hit her my head was turned looking to merge and it got snapped around. I’m going to call her tomorrow and see how she is feeling. She said she wasn’t going to claim it because it didnt look like anything to her can and she didn’t care about her car…

Peterock, I think Sonny said he has a grill sitting around as well… After we get a final on what all I need I’m sure I’ll let everyone know. Since I have a huge deductible on the damn car- I’m probably not going to claim it… because it will be pointless.

The pain will get worse as the week goes on…at least, that was my experience when I spun at high speed and went into a Jersey barrier.

At first, nothing hurt and I refused to go the hospital.

Three days later, I didn’t want to move.

We were merging, she went and I started to merge… I would guess I was going 20… maybe?
