My HID Retro fit

all done, im kinda glad i put them in upside down cause i got to make changes to the shroud so i no longer have foil tape all over. i used an empty pop can and covered the projector with that it looks way better.

does the cut off look to high?? i think it kinda does but im not sure

^ looks great

That does look good. I think this should be in DIY, especially if there’s any more install pics. Nice job.

i do have a bunch more install pics but i was not going to post them. i did a write up for all the saturn guys on another board

I likey.
Were u out cruisin last night. I though I saw a red saturn with projectors last night.

A good point of reference while driving at night is that the cutoff should not be much higher then the rear bumper of the car in front of you (you should be within 15-20 ft of the car). If you can see the cutoff being above a car’s side mirrors, you are definitely blinding oncoming drivers.

The E46 has an auto-leveling feature and adjustment knobs for quick fixes to the cutoff height.

Do you have anyway to easily adjust the height of the cutoff?

How is it when your driving? Seems like only a thin beam of light. Can you even see the road in front of the car?

unless u saw me driving to or from the DMV in the wegmans plaza on dick rd. (thats where i went to aim them since its right by my house) at 1:30 in the morning it probably was not me

i can adjust the whole headlight assembly itself, the saturn headlamps go up/down and tilt forward to back.

that pic was taken under the night setting on my camera i was actually lighting up the whole yard and the inside of my house then, so yea i would say i can see the road lol

ok thats good then

good too see my old projectors went to good use.

hid retro > **

ill get some pics of my lexus rx330 projector retro

Wow you must live close to me.

temple dr right behind wegmans

I’m on morris circle, its more towards transit.

and finally with with the covers back on the assembly

aww look my car is smiling for the picture lol

Not bad… Not bad…

I still like the cutoff on TSX projectors better :stuck_out_tongue:

How bright are those things? What bulbs and ballasts you running?

running philips/hella ballasts LVQ 212

the tsx is over played. the rx330 modified is way better then the tsx as is the fx. id say the fx and rx330 modified is super close to the cut off and output of the s2k
