The project:
Tear it down.
Wait, lighting is good.
OK Keep tearing it down.
More destruction
No fasteners are going to anchor to those old blocks, and there’s an HVAC duct and a vent stack outside of the wall. Frame it in.
Pile the crap conveniently outside.
Take it to the dump.
Get your drywall up, then the firring strips.
Hang the wall cabinets.
And the base cabinets.
Burn up a couple of circular saws cutting 3 layers of flooring into 8 inch squares, then rip them up.
Put down new tile. Make sure you have ~40 pound dog to hold them down properly.
Profit.
Very, very nice.
I cannot wait to mod a house… Someday soon, I hope.
tis the thread i have been waiting for. i’ll have to check it once i get home from work.
Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

6-9 months and you can practice on my house!!!
I meant my own house you ding dong.
Still, I cannot wait to build a dungeon in your basement, make my first bar, put a fireplace in every room we can, wood furnace, test my new six person hot tub, and try out my new “studio” setup in full. LOL.
