He really wasn’t any better than Bush, which is incredibly sad.
I voted for him, and he really was the lesser of two evils, but if you look at his stance on the issues, he really did nothing more than try to blend some of Howard Dean’s platform with his career-politician bullshit.
The Democratic Party needs to get its shit together for '08 and to get back to its liberal roots.
gotta get closer to the middle line to win if teh war on terror goes well
gotta get liberal only if all hell breaks lose (ie vietnam), you don’t wanna appear “anti american” or as upstarts if this shit calms down by 2008
I was waiting on someone to spit out the libertarian stance… jfc what a cluster fuck of a idea…
The Libertarian Party is committed to America’s heritage of freedom:
individual liberty and personal responsibility
a free-market economy of abundance and prosperity
a foreign policy of non-intervention, peace, and free trade.
#1 I can partially agree with, but #2/#3 are just retarded, sorry folks the world don’t work that way we can’t all hug fucking trees and ignore what the bad/evil/fucked up people do in this world.
a foreign policy of non-intervention, peace, and free trade = retarded?
It seems to work for EVERY OTHER COUNTRY IN THE WORLD… The US thinks so highly of itself for being the world’s police force, but its the very reason the rest of the world fucking hates us.
Free markets are a dream, how can you compete with China and their 3 billion workforce that works 16+ hours a day in a 2x2 area on a manufacturing line earning .50 a day… It won’t happen cause standards of working conditions are so much different, and then you can’t compete with them on price of goods. So they put a tarriff on the price of goods to compete with cost of goods in the US. The world is not a equal, and you can’t have free trade in a world of unbalance.
See WWI/WWII and the reason it started, cause we left it alone and it got SO fucking bad we had to do something. You can’t stand aside forever and the longer you wait to get involved the higher the casualities are. I’m all for getting Sadaam out of Iraq and trying to gain ways to control terrorism, but I’m not for dropping in a democracy as a result of that. I think we went in but went in without a proper “what now” plan, and this is the result, but I’m not gonna sit here bitch and moan and cry about it I’m gonna support the troops and decisions made. God forbid they might actually no more than me about foreign affairs and issues, I’m surely not gonna armchair quarterback it like everyone else.
