i could have said that better i guess…
what i meant, was that if somthing went through the intake side it would have made it into the engine instead of away from it.
mine had a nice harmonic problem that cause its death in about a week.
lost 3 quarts of oil, the fins were all nicely shaved down because of housing contact on both side 
oh ok i get what u mean now… ya thats the thing with mine its not missing any parts of the fin and doesnt make contact with the houseing
