I’ll start with a funny story. A few days after picking up my car I went to pickup my girlfriend from the airport. Getting out of it in the parking lot I’m letting it idle while I change my shirt and these 3 older (maybe mid 30’s) japanese guys come out behind a white guy. They all stared at me and one of them says “YOU HAVE SKYRINE, LIKE IN JAY-PAN!”, they tried to have a broken english conversation with me and then the white guy explained they were here on business. Anyways, onto the pics.
I got to drive her for a whopping 10 days before some H-core AWD launches killed the stock clutch. OS Giken twin plate and a nismo slave cylinder go in this weekend. Ordered some 255/40/17 ES100’s so as soon as they get here they’re getting mounted and I’m gonna hit up Castrol.
I picked up an N1 bare block and am going to have Allen build me a new motor over the winter. Probably going to stick with stock stroke, but with a ported head, big cams, and a pair of top mounted T3/TO4E 50-trim’s with an AEM EMS running off of a map sensor
It’s not a chrome stip, it’s leftover rubber/adhesive from the wierd “aero strip” which is normally painted the body colour, you see it on a lot of skylines and somebody decided to rip mine off.
The shit looks nasty in person. That’s after countless hours at it with a heat gun and fishing line trying to cut it off. Once I get it running again Jason @ Doug’s Bodyshop offered to help me get it off my hood, and I also yoinked the S emblem off the hood.
And don’t make fun of the posing pic, it’s my first car and my Mom wanted a picture of my Dad and I together :butthead:
Now that I look at it closer its definatly not chrome. That stuff can be a pain in the ass to take off, there is some kind of buffing wheel that won’t harm paint. I used it before to take off double sided tape from window shades.
Me, myself, and I. Well, my Dad is probably going to throw a helping hand in there. Subracing quoted me 585 + tax + fluids if you were thinking of going to a shop.
I actually talked to you last year about a job, but I was going on a trip in July and never got back to you. You go to PK, right?
