My take on the zip-tie tire install method

Bottom line is it works and it works very well. Compare to the conventional way of using tire iron mounting a tire, I would say the zip-tie method takes 1/10th the effort and 1/100th of the frustration; and the whole process takes around 10 mins, that is from zip-ties on to zip-ties off.

All you need is Windex and 6 per wheel 24" harbor freight zip-ties ($2 a pack of 10), I wouldn’t use less than six. In addition, try to use as fat of a zip-tie as possible to minimize the zip-ties dig into the tire (those 24" harbor freight works very well), I did use a rubber mullet to pound the last bit of the tire in, but mostly due to my lack of strength to man handle it in. Use caution to not damage the tires when you cut the zip-ties (100% DO NOT USE A CUTTER) and make sure you have a good size cutting pliers (unlike me) to save yourself some frustration.

wish i knew this yesterday before my dad paid herbas labor to put on a new tire

I got a chuckle out of him struggling, and even lol’d at the end with the " it’s hot as fuck out here" comment.
