So I’ve always wanted a 94. Real oil pressure gauge, factory braces, 1.8 engine, obd1, yadda yadda yadda! And of course, the most rare one is the infamous “R” package which is the lightest model (no ac/ps/manual windows) with all the go (bilstein stocks, better suspension, TORSEN LSD) and factory appearance package.
So here’s my new r-package with 122k miles. ALL 120k maintance done (clutch, timing belt, wp, all syntheic oils and fluids changed, ect) with minor upgrades (borla exhaust, JR intake, AGX shocks, Sway bar, and 16" kosei wheels). She was raised in the south (georgia) and spent 4 years in connecticut. Garage kept and only used in the summer.
Now I just gotta wait to get it in about 2-3 weeks from connecticut.
But now am tormented on what to do with this car. I don’t want to hack it up and turbo it, ect. But I also don’t want a plain jane. Should I keep it stock and race in the “stock” class? But that becomes a pain with r-comp tire budget and a trailer. Should I just say the heck with it and go turbo from the get go? Decisions decisions.
timing bump, exintake cam, fatcat bump stops (talk to him about revalving the bilstein’s when you order the bump stops) 15x7 RPF1’s or 15x8 6UL’s e-code headlights, maybe go to a 4.30 or 4.44 ring and pinion and lightweight flywheel… and call it a day.
