Pics to come later, along with more info if I forgot anything.
damn, VERY interested … except it’s likely more setup than I wanted to start with but that could be a money-saver in the end (I keep telling myself to buy someone ELSE’s project lol)
x3 on what’s next - I know you’re not dropping out of the game… ironic that two big players are selling their cars at the same time. you co-driving the s2k or something?
Here’s a couple of pics. I’ll get some underhood shots up this weekend, along with shots of the trailer.
As for the replacement, it will be RWD. That much I’m sure of. I’ve got a few choices in mind, but I’ve got to save some money first before I can pull the trigger. Reason for selling the trailer is that none of the cars I’m considering have tires that will fit in it, and the one car that does have small enough wheels and tires can’t be driven on the street.
Car has a five point cam-lock harness (using lap belt only right now due to SCCA rules)
full set of spare alignment bolts.
extra set of stock springs and stock bumpstops
I also have a Hard Dog Hardcore single-diagonal roll bar that I will sell separately for $300. It has SFI padding along with a fitted vinyl cover. This bar is legal for use at track days and time trials, etc.
This is a turnkey auto-x setup. Just add one or two sets of fresh tires and you are good to go. An ES Miata is probably the cheapest stock class car to run from a tire-budget standpoint, as the tires cost between $750-900 shipped, depending on whether you go with Hoosiers or Kumhos, or have them heat-cycled. You can get 100+ runs out of a set of V710s, and pretty close to that out a set of A6s if you flip them and rotate them properly.
