1995 Miata "R" and much more

OK, car is back up for sale, new asking price is $5500, but that can change depending on the “goodies package” included. Reason for sale is lack of need for a dedicated auto-x car with so few events and sites these days. Want to buy a race-ready track car instead. The longer this car stays around, the greater the temptation to gut it, cage it, and turn it into a Spec Miata, and it is too nice for that.

Here is the same post that I started the thread with, but updated:

FS: 1995 Miata, 99700 miles. 100% converted to “R” Package (lightest possible factory configuation with Torsen diff, also has stiffer rear springs and lower ride height.) Car came from North Carolina, so no Buffalo winters. Currently garage-kept and only driven to and from events.

Includes:

  • Custom-valved Bilstein shocks built by FatCat Motorsports (currently non-adjustable, but they can be made single-adjustable for $700, and double-adjustable are being prototyped as we speak).

  • Custom bumpstops

  • Four different front swaybars (7/8" solid, 15/16" solid, 1 1/8" hollow, and the stock piece)

  • custom heim-jointed front swaybar endlinks

  • Two sets of wheels and tires:

  • 15x8 Enkei PF01 wheels (new in 2011) with 225/50R15 Hankook RS3 tires mounted, at least 50% of tread left. These wheels are pristine, not even 1000 miles on them.

  • 15x6.5 Enkei RS5 for the street with 205/50R15 Kumho XS - one tire has small nick in the sidewall, and these wheels have plenty of scratches from being inside the tire trailer. I only use these to store the car on these days. Tires have about 50% life left, but again, one has a nicked sidewall.

  • Hard Dog trailer hitch

  • Jackson Racing air filter

  • Borla stainless steel catback exhaust

  • Lots of spares

  • two spare front wheel hubs new in box

  • two rear wheel bearings new in box

  • OEM alternator new in box

  • OEM starter new in box

  • OEM car cover

  • ANR heavy-duty front sway bar mounts new in box

  • two sets of swaybar endlinks (Racing Beat and Mazdaspeed)

  • complete air conditioning and power steering systems (removed during package conversion)

  • real oil pressure gauge and sending unit new in box (original gauge in the car is actually just an on/off deal.)

  • K & N air filter - (have to see if I still have the recharger kit for it, pretty sure I sold that)

  • factory exhaust

  • Enthusiast’s shop manual and Haynes Manual included

  • Hard Dog Hardcore rollbar (single diagonal) with padding and vinyl cover. Not currently installed. Have both non-modified and modified interior panels for when the bar is installed or not.

Maintenance:

  • radiator replaced in 2007
  • timing belt, water pump, all cooling hoses replaced at 68k miles
  • heater core replaced in 2007
  • shifter boots replaced at 68k
  • clutch replaced at 83k
  • transmission and diff fluid are synthetic, done at 68k
  • all front suspension bushings, tie rod ends, and ball joints replaced at ~75k
  • brake rotors and pads replaced at 68k
  • brake fluid flushed and replaced in 2007
  • clutch fluid and slave cylinder replaced in 2005
  • fuel filter replaced in 2005
  • Battery replaced in 2008

Paging Chris!

Nice.
Very solid looking car. Well mantained for sure. If I had a reason to buy a 2nd miata I would.
I feel like with the prices on miatas going up 5500 is a solid price.

Bump for a good seller.

x…

 great guy

Great guy/seller.

THIRD UPDATE: All the extras have been sent to auction, now selling just the car as is for $3500. See below for what that includes.
