Well the forum is still meant to be only a supplement to the Shift518 the paper, since at the time I do not have the ability to have color pictures in the paper, I post all the shoots and coverage in the gallery for those who want to see the color versions. Plus it provides a way of discussion to articles that were featured in the previous issue.
I didnt drive it last winter…but so far, im still driving it :headbang :headbang :headbang…I had all the money to buy a truck for winter, and i ended up buying a full out race quad from penn. :headbang. The car will be off the road very soon tho, i just havent brought myself to do it yet.
I dont drive it in the snow lol…i wait a day or 2 untill the roads are cleared up…and i get a car wash every damn day so far lol…
I got stuck in my girlfriends damn driveway the other night for 20 minutes…cause of the damn ice storm we had like 2 weeks ago. Damn traction control didnt do a damn thing either.
well my first car when i was 16 was a 95 camaro…i only had that for about 4 months, and i ended up trading it in for the camaro i have now. At the time, I was 17 paying for car insurance and the car payment by myself…So at the time, i couldnt afford full coverage on a Z28. Well, I tried to get a Z28 when i was 18, and my parents wouldnt let me trade my car in untill it was “paid off”…so i said screw it, they wont let me get rid of it…im gonna make it faster…then i started modding and when i was 19, I fabbed up a turbo kit…didnt like that turbo kit, so i designed another one…by the time i was 20 I already made 4 different style turbo kits for my car, and the one i have now (forward flowing header design) was the best to my likings…Incase you didnt kno, they Do Not make a turbo kit for this car…so a turbo V6 is far more rarer then a Turbo V8…funny thing is, a stock 3.8 vs a stock LS1…when Turbocharged, they can produce almost the same power output before the motor hasto be built (around 550rwhp)…just the 3.8 makes a ton more torque.
My car is paid off in this february…im thinking about buying a Used camaro SS in spring, and fabricating a turbo kit for that as well…but that would be my daily driver LOL
I have seen you around and alot of people I know think you mad a dumb decision by turbocharging a v6 f-body. I myself love f-bodies, GN, GTPs, and of course the 89 Turbo Trans Am that could go 12s stock. Im a big fan of what youre doing and wish I did it first. If all else fails you could just rebuild your engine using 04+ GTP internals and maybe some forged pistons and give it hell. My GTP ran 13.5 on street tires w/ a 2.8 60’ with no IC. the 3.8 is nothing to laugh at and it shares many design comcepts with LS1s. Keep that Turbo V6 going, Its different. I for one urge you to push the limits and make people scared to mess with V6 Camaros. I see a 10 second 3.8 car in the making. Good luck
Anyone who says i made a dumb decision by turboing my V6, obviously does NOT know the potential a 3.8 motor can make. Who are these people??
where have you seen me around by the way? On central ave?? Also, im always open to meet up and hangout with new fellow F-body owners…I have a buddys with a 99 WS6, a Cammed C6 Z06, a cammed/nitrous C6, GN’s, SRT-8’s, Supercharged Tiburons etc…we kinda have our own little car “click” goin on up here.
