Hello Everyone;
Well, we have now organized the club, and it is time to select the NECC Board of Directors. The positions of the Administration team are as follows:
- President
- Board of Directors
- Treasurer
We all know the President’s and Treasurer’s functions, but the Board is a new one. The Board will consists of 5 members; 2 Senior Members, 2 Events Coordinators, and the Secretary.
2 Senior Members need to still be elected
2 Events Coordinators are: DeathBy240 and silvia_s13
Secretary is PyreXXX.
Here are the duties of the Board as stated in the new NECC Bylaws which can be viewed by all shortly:
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
10. Board of Directors, Executive Committee or Board, shall mean the Board of Directors of the NECC.

The Board shall, subject to the bylaws or directions given it by majority vote at any meeting properly called and constituted, have full control and management of the affairs of the NECC. Meetings of the Board shall be held at least once every three (3) months, with meeting dates declared by the President

A requested meeting of the Board may be called on the written request of at least two members in good standing. Requests of this type must be submitted in writing via e-mail to the President, and must state the nature of the business to be brought in before the Board in the proposed meeting.

Meetings of the board shall be called by 7 days notice in writing via e-mail to the last known e-mail address of each member. Should e-mail communication not be possible or is undesirable to a member in good standing, the NECC shall deliver a written notice though standard mail no later than 7 days before the date of the Board meeting.
For the purposes of this document, a “quorum” is hereby defined as the minimum number of members who must be present for a valid transaction of NECC business.

Any four members shall constitute a quorum at a Board meeting. These meetings may be held without notice if a quorum of the Board is present, provided however, that any business transactions at such meeting shall be ratified at the next regularly called meeting of the Board; otherwise they shall be null and void.

Board members may be appointed/elected at annual NECC meetings. Any member in good standing can nominate another member, including themselves, for a vacant Board position. If agreed on by members in good standing, the President can appoint Board members at his/her own discretion for the best interests of the NECC. Members in good standing who have not been nominated for a Board position may vote on the Board applicants. Members who have been nominated for a Board position may not vote on Board applicants.

Board Members shall include: two (2) members in good standing, two (2) NECC Events Coordinators, and one (1) NECC Secretary. The positions of NECC Events Coordinators and NECC Secretary shall be appointed by the President.

A person appointed or elected a Board member becomes a Board Member if he/she:
1) Did not refuse the appointment in person or through writing, or
2) consented in writing to act as a director before a meeting at which they were not present, and
3) is a member in good standing at the time of their appointment/election. -
Any director or officer may be removed from office upon a majority vote of all members in good standing for any cause the NECC may deem reasonable. Any Board member may be removed from office at the decision of the President or the decision of the other Board members.
EVENTS COORDINATORS
19. There shall be two (2) events coordinators appointed by the President during the annual meeting.
- The events coordinators are responsible for the organization, planning, and involvement of all NECC events and meetings. Further job duties shall be given by the President during the annual meeting.
SECRETARY
21. It shall be the duty of the secretary to attend all meetings of the NECC and of the Board, and to keep accurate minutes of the same. He/she shall have charge of the Seal of the NECC which whenever used shall be authenticated by the signature of the Secretary or the President, or, in the case of the death or inability of either to act, by the Treasurer.

In case of the absence of the Secretary at a scheduled or unscheduled meeting, his/her duties shall be temporarily transferred to another member in good standing appointed by the Board. The Secretary shall have charge of all the correspondence of the NECC and be under the direction of the President and the Board.

The Secretary shall keep a record of all the members of the NECC and their addresses, and send all notices of the various meeting minutes and above member information to the President.
