looks to be about 46 feet to fence rent a two person auger($45 a day) start in back corner centering a 4x4x10 in each hole, 3ā deep two bags of cement per hole should take about 2 days work. lowes sells cedar dog-eared fencing that looks pretty good. just did this for my sister also to solve a problem with a asshole neighbor

Honestly, the part that takes the longest is the planning, not that that was any news you didnāt already know. Setting up the string line and the 3/4/5 triangle in the corner(yeah, math shit from high school that actually came in handy in real life) was what took a good amount of time. Once you have your string line good, itās a matter of marking where the post holes are going to go. I can still feel that damn auger hitting my legs just typing this, when that thing catches a root or something and it stops but the motor swings around into your thighs about 234975902`475 times in one day, that gets sore. That was what we got dsone in the first day so we could return the auger to Home Depot. Then, we set the 4X4ās the next day in the holes and let them set overnight before we did the 2x4ās that would be nailing points for the actual cedar pickets. We did some things that were definately overkill, such as staggering the 2x4ās seems so that it tied the fence in together better then if we just did 8 foot 2x4ās with seems at every 4x4. To do this, I bought 16ā long 2x4ās from Rucker Lumber in Boston.
