need a good inexpenive exhaust shop

Dave @ Inline usualy buys pre bent u bends etc and fabs up whatever his customers want if they so choose not to have a crush bend…

Ive seen a few tests done and on a mild street vehicle the difference in a mandrel vs crush bend wasnt all that much.

crush bent is junk.

inline did my exhaust on the mustang. all mandrel bent pipe.just make sure you get a quote in writing first.

Figured he would do that, which is just fine, but I bet if he invested in a bender to do 3" he would pick up alot of new bussiness… it seems once a month people on here alone are looking for 3" work, and pie cutting and msc bend cuts and 11ty time the welding gets old.

Also I know the physics behing it too, and have seen the tests also the old crush VS mandrel, but when it comes to tight bends or bends past 90 deg, a crush cuts down the inside dia ALOT and will effect flow when there are many bends like that. but yeah a few small dia crush bends aint no thing.

It also come down to fit and finish, even if people to make it a habit of looking under your ride to check out the exhaust… I wouldnt want some nasty ribbed condom looking exhaust tubes under my car. Peace of mind alone.

its aluminized. The car will never see salt, and prob almost never see rain . The cost would have been almost 2x what I paid if it were stainless.

Inline will do a nice job, but Im sure it will be over $500 to do it. Ive gone to Dennis Francis off of Sacandaga Rd for years now for exhaust work. VERY cheap prices, and Chris does great work. He did 3.5’’ from the headers back on Pauly’s old notch, x-pipe and tucked them up nice all the way to the rear axle. Tell him I sent ya and chris should hook ya up! Or I can go with ya one of these days Rich.

yea if i get bullet mufflers, i just dont kno if it will be under the 430bux the tsp tru dual is, ive been looking alot, mayb ill order that set up and bring it to ur guy to have him instal it? heres the setup, it comes in pieces so possibly he can fab it to stay close to the floor pan? this is 425 +shipping

car will be lowerd, look inthe automotive photography thread at the ss i posted under the white ws.6, its got tsp true duals off set to the right of the drive shaft and that car is low, that y i want an exhaust shop to either build a setup like the tsp or buy the tsp and have a shop make it fit right, seans brothers blue ss has tsp and had redline do it 3plus yrs ago…its low, but they arent an exhaust shop lol they fucked my shit up baddd with a y-pipe, with the prokit on that car i have 2inches at best clearnace…booo

Machines capable of mandrel bending 3" tubing for a decent one r like 80-100k plus thats why no one around here has one ! Slowmaro’s exhaust dragged like a mofo untill I got my hands on it , recut shit fab up some nice ass brackets so on and so forth. Now that shit has clearence like crazy and dont drag.
When i do custom ss exhaus i just buy a coupe bends and cut out what i need. If theres a 100 welds for say who really cares it dont affect performance any more or any less. I just did true dual 3" mandrel exhaust on a tahoe and just finished a complete ss custom exhaust for a fire chicken.
