What the hell is the plastic door piece called and where can i find one, connects to the body of the truck and the inside of the door mine is making noise due to the shit gm design. Greasing doesn’t work!

a sill plate would be on top of the rocker panel, under the door and attached to the body of the truck with a couple screws (most likely)
I was thinking maybe there was a plastic piece near the hinges, based on his description, that connects the door to the vehicle. The only plastic there might be a housing for HVAC, wire harness or simply to operate the door chime. This would be difficult to name/identify and would also be a PITA to “fix” like a sill plate. The other thing it could be is the toothed dealie that will hold the door ajar in 3 or 4 different places.
I’m not going to answer him until he starts posting more on the site though. He isn’t going to come in here like nothings changed and get an answer out of me.

haha thats ok, dont answer me i found it. It prevents the door from swinging open too far. GM part only it seems.
