anyone do emissions or know someone that does it … my SR wont pass:/:
Get a 4 liter jug of Methanol Hydrate and pour it into a quarter tank of gas. then take the test you should pass my bro did that with his R32 and the numbers he got were retarded.
If you want a comparison here are some pics.

After
I’m not disputing your claims or anything, but on what basis did you or your brother figure out that this was a suitable additive for a car, and that it will provide reduced tailpipe emissions?
I’m just curious as to the process that you used to arrive at it, and possible side-effects if any.
If that’s true, that’s awesome.
We first heard about this on GTRC when my brother couldn’t pass his etest.
Haven’t had any side-effects so far so i don’t think there will be. but the guy on GTRC said to drive around gently untill the gas light comes on. and then fill with 91/94.
Not really sure why this is, but i think it has to do with the fact that most lower grade fuels in Canada have a % of methanol in them to clean the burned fuel for emissions but im not sure the % i think it was somthing like 10-15% in 87 octane. im not 100% on that so don’t quote me.
^Are you referring to ethanol? Most stations have “up to 10% ethanol” such as Esso, Petro Canada…even Sunoco’s doing it now. I don’t recall seeing a sign regarding ethanol content at Shell. I could be wrong of course.
Just test it under Hot Rod.
I passed a week ago.
can any local shop that would do an etest test it under hot rod? i heard something about getting a sheet of paper from nissan??
Yeah you do need to get a sheet of proof from Nissan for places that are strict. However, if you go to a place and they know your engine isn’t stock, they might be willing to test it under hot rod status without any proof from Nissan.
Why not get it tested at nissan under hotrod ? saves the many trips . at least thats what i did and i passed
The place I went to just required a bill of sale stating that the engine isn’t stock.
