need help finding wheels

+45 is not a crazy offset, you’re going the wrong way. -45 is a crazy offset.

its crazy for a rwd car

edit:
because i have been questioned

the 7" wheel has a backspacing of 5.25". this gives it an off set of 1.75, or +45mm

No, it’s not. You talk to anyone that knows anything about offsets and you say ‘crazy offset,’ they’ll instantly think of wheels past the fenders, wicked fender flares and crazy lips(which is accomplished by putting incredibly LOW offset wheels on your car). They don’t think of wheels sitting so far inside the fender that it looks like you have Honda wheels on a Mustang. Oh wait, that’s what you have.

You have no idea what you’re talking about so just stop now before I start posting diagrams and pictures of wheels and their specs.

If there’s anyone here that would like to know anything about offsets, please vist this page.

for the record zerodaze has now called people out on autism and dyslexia

^
just wait until i start calling people out on spelling

look at your little diagram, and do the math with the numbers i gave you

if i end up wrong in this, i will buy you a pint; however, i don’t think that is going to happen

And add the fact that you need 8mm spacers just to get your wheels to clear. You have the wrong offset on your car because you have no idea what you’re doing.

read the PM. its only in the front. thats why i need a wheel with a +32 for the front. it is still a stock setup.

LoL

You want the rims on your mustang to be pulled in under the car? Can’t you leave the back out under the fender a little? Is it that low?

i want them to not rub the fender lip went i goes over a large bump

I’ll admit this stuff used to confuse me but this was before I owned a rwd car, especially one that could accommodate suck wicked offsets like my Corolla.

Would you think about using stiffer springs or airbags? I hear good things about airbags and launching your car. Plus then maybe you could get a wheel combo with more ease.

Cavi Mike, you don’t have any idea what is going on do you?

Actually it’s you that got into the debate a bit late.

the car is going to the road coarse, not the 1/4. so no… it is never going to be launched.

i think mike and i are more or less on the same page, or at least reading the same book.

back to ultradriver
like i told mike via PM, the rear wheels with a 225 will just barely pass by the wheel well lip. if i roll them i am sure i can get another 1/4". i do not want the wheels to stick out past the wheel wells. the car will not be “slammed” but i do plan on using all of the suspension travel… and then crashing into a tire wall and catching a ride home with Xander.

You can still have a decent amount of sidewall with a 17 and I don’t think tires are any more expensive since they’re more abundant.

edit that didn’t really make much sense. I also meant to ask why did you want to stay 16.

i agree. thats why i started looking at the 17" wheels. the 16’s were slim pickings.

Tell ya what, I got a nice 5-lug conversion you can buy off of me and have a much easier time finding wheels

the rear is all done, but i have ghetto style ranger stuff up front. its the SVO shit in the back thats fucking me all up.

wait, what? :gtfo:

Stock mustang offset is about 26mm.
You can fit 9" wheels on that car and not rub.
