hi,
i got an rsx, before anyone starts to hate on me, dont hate i just love japanese cars in general…anyways this rsx is my first car and im kinda clueless abotu cars…im slowly learning about them through experience…yesterday as i was driving my car kinda shut down…naturally i thought i stalled but i didnt…everytime i tried to start the car, the car would idle or struggle to start, so i thoguht it was my battery…i tried getting a boost but even that didnt help…everytime i start the car the car struggles and if i give it gas the car kinda revs up and i put it to gear…and thats hwo i got it home…btu it always shuts down everytime ther evs get too low…does anyone know whats wrong with my car?
thanks.
- 1st - learn how to type.
- 2nd - Go to a Honda or Acura Forum - RSXCLUB.com (or something like that), TorontoCivics.com
- 3rd - It could be a bad Mass Air Flow Sensor, seeing as how the car struggles to idle and dies.
i thnk rsx ha map sensors.
if it happened while driving, most likely a sensor plug came loose, or a wire shorted somewhere.
ses light on??
hondas dont run mafs, they run map
nah it doesn’t happen while i drive, it happens right when i turn the key liek it struggles to start. but as i give gas the car revs up and you can hear it struggling to run
check your coil, there could be moisture around it.
check spark plugs also.
would not be a manifold absolute pressure sensor or a mass air flow sensor.
yes honda’s do have maf’s however. the newer ones.
check for a tune up for starters. and i would also say check your t.p.s. honda’s are friggin famous for that.
whats tps?
throttle position sensor.
it was actually the cam sensor that was the problem
